Booking Policy

Payment Policy / Cancellation Policy: 

 

We use your reservation to plan availability to our clients. When you book our services, we reserve exclusive time for you and your pets and have likely turned away other clients during your scheduled time. Therefore, the following deposit, payment, and cancellation policies apply to all reservations (excluding regular recurring scheduled services, i.e. daily/weekly walks):

 

OUT-OF-TOWN

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

In order to confirm your services, a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of an entire invoice/reservation is due for any out-of-town pet sitting at the time of booking. If the deposit is not paid, please consider services unconfirmed.

The final balance of your invoice is due 3 days prior to your first scheduled service.

 

CANCELLATION

More than 14 days notice for all services not occurring over a holiday: full deposit credited to account.

3-14 days notice except Overnight services or occurring over a holiday: 50% deposit credited to account.

Less than 3 days notice except Overnight services or occurring over a holiday: no credit to account, no refund.

There are no refunds or credits for clients returning home early.

 

DAILY/WEEKLY SERVICES

For recurring weekly Dog Walking clients in which Client is not out of town, full payment is due at the time of the first service of the invoice.

Deposits are non-refundable, but will be credited to a future service within 6 months if cancellation is made within the parameters noted above. There are 3 exceptions in which deposits may not be refunded: holiday bookings, overnight bookings, and any reservation cancelled with less than 72 hours notice.

Holiday cancellations require 30+ days.

Overnight cancellations require 14+ days.

We require no deposit for the New Client Consultation/Meet and Greet. Late fees may be assessed on invoices assessed if payment is not received as stipulated.

 

All cancellations or changes requested after 5 PM Arizona time will be considered next day.

 

For HOLIDAYS (bookings that include the Federal Holidays listed below), Hand and Hound Pet Sitting requires a non-refundable 50% deposit upon booking. Deposit may be credited to future service if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the start of the booking. Please note: services that take place on the holidays listed below are charged at 1 ½ times Hand and Hound’s regular rate:

Early Return to Home or Late Departure from Home: 

Reservations are made to plan for sitter availability for Client’s reservation dates. Therefore, Clients returning home  early or departing later than the reservation will be required to pay for the full reservation amount of time, regardless  of whether Client returned home early or departed later than the prior reservation scheduled. No amount of money  will be refunded or credited to Client for early returns to home or late departures from home by Client after a reservation date  has been agreed upon.
